Night Shift Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: Competitive
Type: Full-time
We are currently looking to recruit an individual to support our night shift operation at our Robert Dyas Distribution Centre in Hemel Hempstead.
Shift Pattern Mon - Friday with flexibility to work Sun - Thursday if required
Hours 40 per week; Shift Times 21:00 - 06:00
Responsible for the day to day supervision of all retail operational activities at Hemel Distribution Centre.
Work with senior management and Head Office Teams.
Strategically Plan, schedule, and review workload, manpower and equipment to ensure the safe and efficient running of the Distribution Centre retail department,whilst meeting operational targets.
Maintain and enhance effective working relationships with departmental Managers / supervisors.
Contribute to the identification, evaluation and where appropriate implementation, of improvement initiatives that enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security.
Set, monitor and manage staff KPI / performance levels, providing feedback on achievement and identifying improvement opportunities.
Review and design DC layout to ensure efficient space utilization and picking efficiencies especially during seasonal peak periods.
Ensure the accurate recording and communication of all information relating to payroll, absence and holidays.
Cover for the Nightshift Operations Manager when and if required
Promote positive team and company morale
Build a capable team through Colleague feedback and development
Experience
Proven work experience as a Warehouse Supervisor
Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques
Knowledge of warehouse management systems
Hands-on commitment to getting the job done
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations
