Joined Robert Dyas in 1993
Describe your career to date including why you joined Robert Dyas:
I joined Robert Dyas as a Trainee Manager and quickly worked my way to Store Management. I joined Robert Dyas because at the time it was a small family cultured business with 70 stores.
What does a typical day in your role involve?
My typical day as a Store Manager involves making the store ready for business. Ensuring staff and customers are satisfied and to make it a profitable day. I have a hands-on approach, helping with deliveries and serving customers to meet their needs.
What’s the best thing about working for Robert Dyas?
No 2 days are the same - from the customers to the day-to-day challenges of stock, staff and communication from Head Office. Even with 17 years of service I am as interested in the Robert Dyas way as I was on my first day.
If you could compare yourself to a Robert Dyas product, what would you be and why?
I would be like the Brita Maxtra 6 Pack because I am fast moving week-in week-out, like the environment I work in.
