Joined Robert Dyas in 2004
Describe your career to date including why you joined Robert Dyas:
I started at Robert Dyas as a Saturday Sales Assistant, then after a few months moved to Sundays. Since 2009 I have been put in charge of dealing with deliveries during the week. I joined Robert Dyas because I have an interest in the products we sale and it seemed like a good friendly environment to work in.
What does a typical day in your role involve?
A typical day involves coming in at 7am and sorting out our deliveries onto the shop floor and warehouse. Also during the day I help and interact with customers to help them find the products they require.
What’s the best thing about working for Robert Dyas?
The best thing is working in a shop with such an interesting range of products and services, and helping customers chose the right products for their needs. I also enjoy working as part of a team to get the jobs done as efficiently as possible.
If you could compare yourself to a Robert Dyas product, what would you be and why?
I would compare myself to a VAX 3-in-1 cleaner because it is strong, reliable, can multitask, is efficient and always gets the job done.
