Group Data Privacy Administrator

The Theo Paphitis Retail Group, a multi-channel retail business which incorporates Ryman, Boux Avenue, Robert Dyas and The London Graphic Centre, is a private group of businesses owned by its Chairman, Theo Paphitis, one of the UK’s most high profile business leaders, is looking for a bright, enthusiastic, career focused individual with an interest in data protection to join our Data Governance team. 

The role will work across all the brands in the group as well as it's micro businesses and related investments to ensure we remain compliant with the ever evolving privacy requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Write and format clear reports in order to create new policy documentation or amend pre-defined procedures
  • Create and update on an ongoing basis, a document which provides advice to frequently asked questions in relation to GDPR enquiries, for signoff by the Group Data Protection Officer (DPO)
  • Utilise Google Sheets in order to maintain our data protection logs
  • Utilise our rights requests portal by following clearly written procedure to ensure that all requests are processed within the mandated timelines
  • Liaise with key stakeholders in order to progress cross brand agreement and sign off on multiple governance documentation
  • Highlight weaknesses in current processes and suggest to the Group DPO methods of improvement
  • Visit off site locations in order to clarify and amend gaps in our data security and privacy procedures
  • Engage with our customer services team in order to progress customer privacy complaints
  • Facilitate communications between the Data Governance Department, Data Protection Champions and the wider business
  • Provide administrative support and reporting in relation to our data discovery process
  • Provide administrative support on contractual agreements with third party data processors and controllers
  • Communicate project development on an ongoing basis to senior management
Key Requirements:
  • At least 2 years working within a data protection environment
  • Degree qualified or equivalent
  • Have excellent written language skills
  • Are Computer literate
  • Project management experience
  • Proven attention to detail
