Assistant Store Manager (St Martins Lane)

Robert Dyas was bought in July 2012 by Theo Paphitis, one of the former investors on TV's Dragons' Den. Since then, the company has shown improved year-on-year results and driven a programme of investments.

We are looking for a passionate, experienced manager to join the team as an Assistant Manager.

As an Assistant Manager you will:


  • Assist the Store Manager in maintaining the highest standard of service, efficiency and good housekeeping in line with Company policy and assume full responsibility of the Store and Colleagues in the Store Manager’s absence
  • Suggest related sales and alternative products where appropriate.
  • Advise the customer of Company refund or exchange policy as appropriate.
  • Price and display stock and keep the store tidy and presentable.
  • Implement displays, promotions, point of sale material and window displays as required.
  • Assist in range reviews and stocktaking as required.
  • Set up and participate in all store incentives as required..
  • Open and close the store as required and respond to alarm call outs as a key holder.
  • Ensure correct procedures are carried out particularly in those areas affecting security and Health and Safety at work.
  • Arrange and present training sessions to the store team as requested.

What you need to have:


  • Previous management experience in a retail role
  • Ability to prioritise and plan workload
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good keyboard and PC skills
